1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging Prop Builders Ltd to provide construction or related services, you ("the Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all contracts for work undertaken by Prop Builders Ltd.
2. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes provided by Prop Builders Ltd are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. A detailed breakdown of costs will be provided before any work commences.
3. Deposits and Payment
A deposit of 20% of the total contract value is required upon signing the contract to secure your project start date. Stage payments are invoiced at agreed milestones throughout the project. Final payment is due upon practical completion and handover. We accept bank transfer and card payments.
4. Project Timelines
Project timelines are estimates based on the information available at the time of quoting. Prop Builders Ltd will endeavour to meet agreed deadlines, but timelines may be affected by factors outside our control, including planning decisions, weather, material supply chains, and unforeseen structural conditions. We will always communicate any changes to the programme promptly.
5. Variations and Changes
Any changes to the agreed scope of works must be agreed in writing. Variations will be priced separately and will not commence without written client approval. Clients will be notified immediately if unforeseen works are required.
6. Guarantees and Warranties
Prop Builders Ltd warrants its workmanship in line with the agreed contract and subcontract terms for each project. Defects arising from our workmanship will be remedied in accordance with those terms. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, third-party works, or materials supplied by others.
7. Insurance and Liability
Prop Builders Ltd holds £5M public liability insurance and works insurance. We are not liable for damage caused by force majeure events, pre-existing structural defects not identified during the survey, or client-supplied materials.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate a contract with 14 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Client will be liable for all work completed up to the date of termination, plus any materials or costs irrevocably committed.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
